So What Would You Like to Know about Arizona?

So here it is, my very first blog called AZ Journal. AZ stands for the great state of Arizona and "Journal" means it will be a compilation of journalistic entries for your reading pleasure.

A transplant of 7 years from the much chillier climate of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and a person who is passionate about writing and real estate investing, I thought I'd take this opportunity to share information about the state, primarily the greater Phoenix/Scottsdale area, and the real estate market. The latter is dynamic, even in a "down" market.

The greater Phoenix area has so many different types of neighborhoods and housing. Take the Arcadia area in central Phoenix, for instance, where you can buy a 3 bedroom ranch built in the 60s for $250-300,000. Or the Desert Ridge area of North Phoenix where prices vary from the mid 250s for a three bedroom, 2 bath, 2 car garage stucco and tile roof home -- built in the late 90s to present -- and $1 million plus for a larger home in a gated golf course community with a backdrop of the majestic McDowell Mountains.

And as far as attractions, the state has everything from the Grand Canyon to Monument Valley,
Montezuma's Castle to Tuzigoot, the old mining town of Jerome to the incomparable Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon, from the urban energy of Scottsdale's fine shops and restaurants to the relaxed atmosphere of the Phoenician and other spas in Phoenix.

As you can see, I have my work cut out for me and I'd like your input as to what topics you'd like to see addressed in the AZ Journal.

This is a really good idea. How do you plan to drive traffic to your blog?

Word of mouth and links from my website, Facebook and other social media sites. Also hope some of the search engines pick me up.
